What is economics?

What is economics? The word economy comes from the Greek "oikonomos" which means household management. This word usually appears several times in our daily conversations, but few people know its true meaning. Surely the first thing that comes to mind when you hear economy is economy equals money, but it doesn't stop there. There is a plethora of elements that contribute to its full meaning as the world of economics is very broad. It is present in our world much more than we imagine, from the most expensive and valuable things we have to the glass of water we drink when we are thirsty. In order to understand the economy of the present we must know the history of economic thought throughout history.

This science greatly affects the society in which we find ourselves but in a different way to each person. For example, the number of unemployed people, the ease with which families meet their needs or the availability of public services; the state of these depends on how the national economy of that country is doing. Economic problems vary greatly from country to country, what may seem like a big problem in one may be a simple nonsense in another.
In order to solve the problems that are found in that society we must detect the problem and take the right political measures, and this requires recourse to political economy. Achieving the right analyses and the right solutions requires a lot of work because economics is not a correct science and there will always be different points of view even though it is partly based on numbers. But the result will always compromise the ethics of the person who has provided the solution.
With this introduction I will try to highlight, from my point of view and with the maximum objectivity, in this "Dina´s Post" Blog the economic problems and opportunities of our time and especially of my environment. It will be a window on this complex world, because the economy is Wall Street where there is the largest stock market in the world, but also the economy is the loaf of bread that we buy every day.
